KAD Classic Mini Rear Disc Brake conversion kit. This has been developed in 2001 to fill the need for a lightweight rear disc brake conversion with an effective mechanical handbrake replacing the standard drums at the rear. The calipers are a single piston sliding type, fully dust sealed, and machined from billet aluminium. The hubs, carrying a lightweight steel drilled disc, are CNC machined from billet aluminium and accept standard Mini wheel bearings. The kits are supplied complete with all of the parts required to convert from drum to disc brake, and use the standard handbrake cables. The kit will fit under 10inch wheels and has been designed with both road and competition use in mind. Weight = 2.8Kg per side (less than one standard spacered brake drum).
